I ordered the aerosol can coded to match my 2013 VW Touareg. I also ordered the paint pen, but I have not used it yet. The color was very close to the actual car color, but not exact. I was painting a small towing access point cover that had been knocked off of my car after a piece of of metal on the interstate impacted the lower front of my car. I didn’t have visible damage to the front of the car, I was just missing this cover and some scratches on the front underbody. I did pull the exact paint data from the spare tire compartment of my VW Touareg (for my vehicle, it was on the left side wall in the spare tire compartment). The match was close enough for the new 1 inch circumference towing point cover that needed to be painted, and attached to the access towing point on the front bumper. Overall, I’m very pleased. This product worked well for me on this small piece, but I believe the color difference may be noticeable in a different situation, or a larger area. That being said, matching paint can be hard. The vehicle is 7 years old; although, it is in very good condition, and has been maintained with washing and waxing regularly.

The color match for my 2013 VW Tiguan, White Gold Metallic, is a great match. It is better than the dealership's paint pen that I bought (and returned) because it was not even close to the match. Two thumbs up. The only negative part I can say is that I bought the touch up bottle and the touch up paint in the bottle is quite thin and it took several coats to cover up the blemishes. But the matching was really nice.
