CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle Cabrio, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code is normally located in the back compartment panel in the trunk. Click here for Volkswagen paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2008 Volkswagen New Beetle Cabrio is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Kevin K, owner of a 2007 Volkswagen GTI from Elkhart, IN

This paint works very well. The color was very close and after a wet sand and buff the finish was as good as, or better than the original paint. The only issues I had were with my own sanding and prep. Silver is not good for covering flaws. Take time, sand out everything with good quality paper and the results can be very good.

Adnan H, owner of a 2007 Volkswagen Passat from Fond Du Lac, WI

Fixed a rusty spot around the emblem on the trunk on one car, and fixed another rusty spot on the driver's side door on my other car - I know that a shop quoted me at $600 to fix the rust spot on the door, fixing rust around the emblem could've cost about $300. It looks very good - yes, it's not shop quality workmanship (but paint is), but keeping a few hundred bucks makes me happy.
