CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2007 Volkswagen Lavida, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code is normally located in the back compartment panel in the trunk. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2007 Volkswagen Lavida is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Touch up is a perfect match! Thanks. Will be difficult to apply clear coat if I can't find the scratches.

KLS, owner of a 2006 Volkswagen New Beetle from NJ

It was hard to find my color for my Bug. Harvest Moon Beige. What? Why cant it just be easy. I found this website. Lo and behold they have my color! When I chose it, it told me to get the clearcoat as well. So I did. I applied it, let it dry, and repeated the process. It needed about 3 coats of color. Then I used clearcoat, and done. The color is perfect. When you are right up on it, applying the color, it does look a little off. But after its done, it cannot be seen. The color is spot on! You can only tell when you are a foot from it. I am completely happy with this purchase! The only thing I didn't like was that you cannot track your package. But I got it, and it works, and I'm happy!
