CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code is normally located in the back compartment panel in the trunk. Click here for Volkswagen paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Thomas M, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Spirit Lake, IA

Repaired the back bumper on my wife's VW Beetle....20 year old car and the color match was perfect. Paint color match, clear coat and touch up stick all worked as advertised. Thank you

Thomas D, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from New Port Richey, FL

Great match as always

Richard G, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Dayton, NV

Touch up paint was a good match. Very pleased with the product.

Frank M, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Derry, NH

My VW paint was original and 18 years old. The match is what would be expected from a body shop repair, slight variation due to the age of my paint, however I knew this prior and painted the whole body part rather than blend. Great value for the money for me. Only I can see the difference because I know it is there. (or maybe my imagine imagination wants to see it?) we know how that goes .. :-)

Nancy J, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Rockford, MI

I loved the match! Loved the consistency of the paint. Glad I ordered the primer to go with it too. Very happy and will order again.

Rose S, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Oceanside, NY

Could not be HAPPIER! I wish I had taken a before picture to show what a difference your paint made. My car is 15 years old and had big chunks missing from the panel under the passenger door. I had no intention of fixing it as the car is old but people were getting cut on it as they got into the car. Let me first say that I am 51 year old Mom and no experience with body work but I figured it couldn't get any worse than it already looked. So I bought some Bondo and did a decent patch up. Then I purchased your paint. My husband was leery about letting me do it so he asked his friend who is an experienced painter to help out. He was AMAZED at how good of a product the paint was! The car looks FANTASTIC!! I will definitely recommend you!! Me and my bug thank you!!!

Thaddeus A, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Saint Paul, MN

Paint was an excellent color match. I painted a primed roof spoiler and it looks dead on. The paint is high quality and wets/flows well, leaving a very smooth finish.

Robert K, owner of a 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle from Indianapolis, IN

I have been purchasing your touch up paint for over ten years. My wife has a 2000 VW New Beetle, limited edition, Reflex Yellow turbo. They are becoming more rare these days since only 2000 models were imported that year. I just bought more paint for my 2012 VW Jetta TDI (new...just in case), my son's used 2013 Chevy Cruze and encouraged a neighbor whose SUV I detailed the other day to order a bottle for her 2003 Lexus so I could fix the rock chips. Great products and service. Thank you very much
