CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1995 Volkswagen Golf, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The paint code is normally located in the back compartment panel in the trunk. Click here for Volkswagen paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1995 Volkswagen Golf is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Clay T, owner of a 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio from Boise, ID

I was having trouble matching the blue paint job on my 96' VW Cabrio. The color suggested by every online website was 'Lexus Catalina Blue'. Finally I happened to walk by a 2010 VW Passat, with the sun hitting the paint job at just the right angle. That was the color I had been looking for. 'VW Moonlight Blue'. It a very low key yet high quality color. You might say, "Classy". So Automotive touch up hooked me up with an extremely high quality paint and clear coat and I could not be happier with the results. Thanks.

Joseph H, owner of a 1996 Volkswagen Golf from Columbus, IN

I think the paint quality is good. I was touching up a pretty big job and my overall experience was not what I had hoped with this metallic paint. I plan to purchase a whole gallon of the paint from you all, but I have been looking at other options as well. I had a hard time with the color separating after I applied the color to the bigger spots I needed to touch up. Probably my fault because it was a pretty big spot I was trying to touch up, I think it would work well on the smaller chips though
