To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2015 Toyota Solara, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. I have a 2014 Toyota 4Runner. I had a few rice size rock chips on the hood and front end. Not a huge deal but they were very noticeable considering the vehicle is Blizzard Pearl White! The touch up pens from Automotive Touchup worked great. Due to the pearl paint I had to use a base coat, mid and clear coat for the repair. The base and mid coats were an exact match. I tried the clear coat but due to the size of the chip, it was too much. It created a bump of paint. I clay bared the clear coat off, double waxed and sealed the area and it looks amazing.
