CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2014 Toyota Frontlander, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example. Click here for Toyota paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2014 Toyota Frontlander is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Good stuff and goes on easily and, indeed, it looks good!

No good deed goes unpunished! I was backing away from a gas pump to allow a guy with a boat to access a pump. I bumped into a concrete-filled post guarding the building doors and put many scratches (no dents) on my right rear fender. The scratches were mostly about 4 to 5 inches long - close together - and the whole area was about 18 inches from top to bottom. I obtained a 500 estimate to paint the full panel - which would have wrapped around the rear of the car. Instead, I ordered your paint and seal coat and carefully covered them. It does look a lot better - However - all those scratches painted by such a small brush look pretty badly if you look closely. I'm thinking about getting about a 2000 sandpaper, going over the whole area, then try painting over with a wider brush. Whacha think????? [ATU Note: This is going to need some spray paint.]
