CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2002 Toyota Avalon, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example. Click here for Toyota paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2002 Toyota Avalon is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jerry F, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Oshkosh, WI

The touch up paint and gloss were a perfect match to car can’t even tell it was replaced. Very happy with this product.

Stephen C, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Colorado Springs, CO

Prompt delivery; product worked perfectly!

Donald C, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Suffern, NY

Wow - I was really impressed with the color match - never thought I'd get a match for my daughter's 2002 Toyota, but you guys nailed it. I patched up the bumper where she rubbed a yellow bollard in a parking lot, and then used your spray paint - the match was perfect and you can hardly tell where the new paint blends with the original. And by the way - the spray nozzle never clogged! Thanks for a great product.

David S, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Danville, CA

Excellent paint match, good product. I am a novice car painter but very experienced in home painting jobs. Three spray technique things I have learned about using the paint: (1) the 12 oz. spray cans are better suited for small area jobs. I used them to paint the entire front hood, and it was difficult to get a perfectly even application. Next time I would buy a pint can and use my HVLP spray unit, (2) when using the 12 oz. cans, be sure to mix (shake) them for at least 5 minutes b/c the heavier "metallic finish" particles gravitate to the bottom of the can and can come out at the end and mess up the coloration, and (3) if you have an older car (mine is a 2002 Avalon), the original paint has faded compared to the new paint you'll spray on. So, don't expect a perfect match for these older type cars. Not the fault of the this paint; that' just the way it is.

David S, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Danville, CA

PRO: Just learning the technique using the spray can products. Started with my front bumper. Looking good now after a heavier gloss coat on 2nd day. I have learned that I initially probably applied the coats actually too little. Sprayed on the top today between the windshield and sun roof. Color coat went on nicely; needs a 3rd gloss coat. I have the rest of the top, hood, rear bumper and some side areas to complete. I have lots of experience with my HVLP sprayer, so I may buy more base coat and gloss in the can size. CON: The paint color is very close to the original, but I would have to say your base coat is slightly darker than the original paint. Could this be due to the fact that the car is 2002 and it could have faded in some sense (even though it doesn't look that way)? The exact color match is not a critical issue as I just want to get it looking decent w/o discolored/sun-bleached areas.

Tyler R, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Cedarville, OH

The paint match was great! The new color seems a tad bit darker than the original paint, but I'm sure that as the paint cures that it will resolve itself! There was more than enough paint in one spray can to repair a 3 foot long scratch across both left side doors. I'm more than impressed with the quality of the product and will definitely return in the future!

Bob, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from IL

Very happy with the paint match and service. I painted a bare plastic replacement mirror on a 2002 Avalon following the directions on your website. The color match to 14 year old factory paint was very good and the results after sanding and rubbing were professional. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from you again.

William M, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Oak Ridge, TN

The shipment was prompt and the colors matched perfectly. Glad to know this business is here to provide top quality paints for all my vehicles!

Benjamin C, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from Roswell, GA

Reputable body shop quoted $2700 estimate for four relatively minor repairs. With your two cans of base paint, two of clear coat and about $15 more supplies, I did the job, and it's great. The base coat color-match is fantastic, and the delivery was very prompt. You are my go-to place if I ever need auto paint again.

Carmelo R, owner of a 2002 Toyota Avalon from New Port Richey, FL

The match for my 2002 Toyota was perfect.
