To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1993 Toyota Supra, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. I've used AutomotiveTouchup twice already and they have not disappointed. Their paint is very close if not exact match to the original. The first time I didn't use any clearcoat and it turned out just fine. The second time I used them for another vehicle I did use clearcoat and although the results were ok, I wish there was a better way to blend the clearcoat with the original clearcoat of the car. I think it would have been fine had I just left the clearcoat off the second time around as well. The paint still dries a nice gloss and blends in and hides the flaws, I think the clearcoat tends to show the flaws unless the painted surface is perfect. But overall I'm very happy and will continue using AutomotiveTouchup as I learn how to use their products better. Their product is a great value compared to other similar paint matched products offered by other companies.
