To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. I have new fender to replace a damaged one on my 23 year old car with factory original paint. I ordered 2 cans of base coat using the paint code on the door jamb, and then 2 cans of clear coat.
