Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Subaru Wrx is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Steven F, owner of a 1998 Subaru Legacy from Arden Hills, MN

I buy your products every year, or have since I moved to Minnesota and have to deal with salty roads and rusty cars. They work great, best discovery online I've even made. The colors are VERY close and make a giant difference in how the cars look.

Roger V, owner of a 1998 Subaru Legacy from Leavenworth, WA

Hi! At first the paint appeared to be more of a cream appearance than the stock finish. Different light from the sun was messing with Me a little bit...there is a small difference, but colors!! They will mess with You. With a hvlp gun I was able to shoot the left fender (with black primer) both bumpers, half of the left rear quarter panel, and some touch up.....I still have a little bit left. Half the clear coat is left. I checked the color code (belatedly, I admit) and it is Subaru 230, exactly what is on the can. This is with a pint of premix! I'm used to buying a quart of paint for such a project. In conclusion, I will buy another pint to do the hood and further touchups. Thanks, Roger
