To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2009 Saturn Ion Sedan, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. The color matched pretty well and the clear coat was correct. However, when I was spraying the color after a minute, the nozzle would start dripping. I had to wipe that off which wiped off spots of color on the car. I had to go over those spots again with the paint. I even tried holding a paper towel to catch any drips but I didn't do a perfect job of that. I was following the instructions on the can exactly and shaking it every couple minutes.
