Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2010 Saab 900 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Keith O, owner of a 2009 Saab 9-7X from Darien, IL

I own a 2009 Saab 97X and the hood has completely rusted out. I purchased a new hood and tried painting it myself. I ordered the primer, paint, clearcoat and HVLP gun from Automotive Touch up. I was surprised how easy the job was. My only mistake was putting the clearcoat on a bit too heavy. I am going to fine sand with 1500-3000 paper and buff in the next few weeks. Here are some pictures of the rusty hood and the new hood in different stages. I have purchased touch up paint from Automotive Touchup in the past, but this was the first time with 'real' paint. All in all I am very happy with the way it turned and anxious to see it after a final buff and polish.

Mark K, owner of a 2009 Saab 9-5 from Northglenn, CO

Product and color selection was really easy and straightforward and the inclusion of paint filters and stir sticks was quite helpful. I also really appreciated the option to order 1 pint cans that are ready to spray. The paint from the rattle can as well as the 1 pint can look really nice, though both are a shade or two darker than the rest of the car. Additionally, it would appear that even after 8 days, the paint from the 1 pint can, applied via gravity fed sprayer, is still soft enough to scratch with a fingernail. I'm willing to admit this may be user error since the rattle can paint I used on the side skirt seems fine.
