CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2005 Saab 9-2X, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Saab paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Did you choose the wrong vehicle model?

Did you choose the wrong model? How about the 2005 Saab 5-SEP, 9-3, 9-3 Cabrio, 9-4X, 9-5, 9-7, 9-7X, 900, or 9000?  If you're still not sure, take a look at our All 2005 Saab Models page.  Or, just go to our page dedicated to Saab Touch Up Paint

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2005 Saab 9-2X is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Melvin A, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Arlington, VA

I really like how well the touch up paint matches with the factory paint! I wasn't expecting it to be that good to be honest. I definitely recommend it.

Eric S, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Niantic, CT

Shipping and payment was all well and good, however, when I applied several coats to my car, it became apparent that the color was off from the factory coat. It had like a drop more of green. It's my own fault though that it's on there, I was too impatient to use the test strip and try it out before spraying it on my vehicle.

Steve, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from CT

Paint color match was very good, you get a lot of paint for the price, compared to a Duplicolor paint pen. Delivery time is a little long, but that is mentioned on the order site, as colors are custom made.

Thomas W, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Vista, CA

The plastic parts on the rear hatch of our Saab 9-2x had oxidized and I tried your product. The midnight black mica was a perfect match! With a little color sanding at my tape points and a light polishing with my polisher, you can't see difference in the color. Even under bright lights or sunshine. Thank you for helping me save hundreds of dollars. You folks do an outstanding job. I'll be recommending your product to everyone I know.

Ken M, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from NY

Excellent product. Very good match to existing paint. I have used this product before and unfortunately will probably have to use it in the future.

Alan L, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Burnaby, BC

The item was neatly packaged in a secured box. Thanks!

Dan, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Johnson, VT

The spray cans (base and clear coat) took a bit (two weeks) to arrive. But it was worth the wait. The color match was excellent, especially considering the difficult color (deep blue metallic). The quality of the paint is good (much better than your usual car parts store variety), the nozzle pattern is wide and even. Clear coat is also good quality. Flows well without runs, good gloss. This is probably as good as it gets for a rattle can job.

Gail W, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from TN

I was very pleased. My order arrived promptly and color was good. It would have been even better if I had followed directions about sanding after base coat. I am elderly and clumsy so did not apply smoothly.

George M, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Seattle, WA

I think the instructions could be improved a lot for the weekend warrior amateur. I wouldn't hesitate from using AT again but my expectations are limited to the smallest raindrop sized touchups.
