CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2001 Saab 900, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Saab paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2001 Saab 900 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Greg S, owner of a 2001 Saab 9-5 from Yorktown Heights, NY

Used primer, base coat and clear coat to spray the hood and bumpers of my daughters Saab. I have never done any of this before, but with all the materials and tutorials available here plus a few more from the internet I completed the task and Damn I am impressed with the results. the match was spot on and the finish was Gorgeous! I might not even sell the car now it looks so good!

Dan R, owner of a 2002 Saab 9-5 from Cleveland, OH

I was a little leery of a 20 dollar can of spray paint, but having a quart mixed locally, plus reducer, hardener etc. would have been a lot more, so I went with it. The first thing I did was a gas cap door, and even using a can of clear from Wal-mart, it turned out extremely well. After a little grinding and plastic, I sprayed 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear. The next day I asked my mechanic if he noticed the gas cap door, he said no, he looked over at it and asked where I had bought one, that is good enough for me.
