CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1979 Saab (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Saab paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1979 Saab (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Chas P, owner of a 1980 Saab from Granville, OH

You provided the paint you said you would provide and did it on time. 100% satisfied.

David L, owner of a 1977 Saab from Wilmington, DE

I very satisfied with all the paint products that I purchased. The pens and brushes work great and are of good quality! I have used Automotive Touchup products a few times and have been satisfied each time.

Thomas W, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Vista, CA

The plastic parts on the rear hatch of our Saab 9-2x had oxidized and I tried your product. The midnight black mica was a perfect match! With a little color sanding at my tape points and a light polishing with my polisher, you can't see difference in the color. Even under bright lights or sunshine. Thank you for helping me save hundreds of dollars. You folks do an outstanding job. I'll be recommending your product to everyone I know.
