CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1968 Saab (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Saab paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1968 Saab (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Rhichard B, owner of a 1969 Saab from Blandford, MA

Alway great products from Automotive Touch up... even the hard-to-find colors on obscure cars like my Saabs.

Gail W, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from TN

I was very pleased. My order arrived promptly and color was good. It would have been even better if I had followed directions about sanding after base coat. I am elderly and clumsy so did not apply smoothly.

Dan, owner of a 2005 Saab 9-2X from Johnson, VT

The spray cans (base and clear coat) took a bit (two weeks) to arrive. But it was worth the wait. The color match was excellent, especially considering the difficult color (deep blue metallic). The quality of the paint is good (much better than your usual car parts store variety), the nozzle pattern is wide and even. Clear coat is also good quality. Flows well without runs, good gloss. This is probably as good as it gets for a rattle can job.
