To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. No problem this time was I needed to paint a hood and ordered three of the individual spray cans, in that it was indicated this would cover the hood, Which was red. This didn’t work so I ordered two more cans, and this didn’t cover well. I called and spoke to someone and they indicated that red was one of the colors it was difficult to cope with. I just completed touch-up on my Red Hot Metallic 2009 Pontiac Vibe, using Automotive Touchup spray paint, bottle with brush, and detail pen. The covers of the side mirrors had been peeling as if they had a bad sunburn. Now they look new again, and the nicks and scratches on the body have all been touched up so the car looks great and is protected for all that Minnesota weather will dish out. It's nice to find the right color still available. The paint is a perfect match for a make and model that were no longer built after 2010.
