To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2006 Pontiac G6, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. I am absolutely delighted with the outcome of the paint on my wife's rear bumper cover. I replaced the entire rear bumper cover on my wife's 2006 G6 GT coupe. I had a hard time finding a bumper cover for the G6 GT Coupe, there are plenty of sedan covers out there. I was able to find a blemished rear cover from GM, at a much cheaper price. It was the wrong color, and I was tired of dealing with Body Shops and down time with vehicle. I am an experienced Auto Mechanic, but not a Body Guy, but I did use a spray gun many years ago. I purchased the paint in the spray cans, from the adhesion promoter, primer, Base coat, and clear coat. I prepped and painted the Bumper cover off the car. Everyone can't believe that I painted this entire bumper cover from a spray can!!! It came out Beautiful!!! Automotivetouchup matches the paint perfectly. I am very pleased with the spray pattern and pressure the spray cans have. The paint does not come out fast, like other brands, it is very hard to get a drip in the paint as you are spraying, it is very easy to control. I will be purchasing more paint, so I can spruce up the original Bumper cover, so I can have a spare. People who park in parking lots constantly hit and tap these bumper covers, so after 10 years this cover had enough of damage.
