CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Mike H, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Chippewa Falls, WI

Paint provides excellent coverage and was exact match; although prices are higher than competition.

Robert S, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Jim Thorpe, PA

Just painted the whole passenger side of my Pontiac grand prix and at first the new paint was a little lighter shade but after a week you can hardly tell the difference what a great match looks like the whole side blends in nice with the old paint which is the original paint and is 14 yrs. old. Looks great!! will definitely do business with you again if I need to. Thanks

Robert S, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Jim Thorpe, PA

Really happy with the color match {galaxy silver metallic} painted the whole passenger side and it blends in real nice with the rest of the car. The car has the original paint on it which is 14 years old, I was afraid that the new paint would be a little lighter or darker shade than the old paint but very pleased with the match. Looks great!! Will do business with you again if I need to paint again. Thanks

Chris B, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Kitchener, ON

Used products to paint plastic lower body side moulding that runs the length of the area below the doors. It's about 8 feet by 5". First time using your primer and it worked perfectly. The colour match was spot on and the finished product is as good or better than new. One thing about doing it yourself, you know how much clear coat is there and that helps when polishing out road rash (the moulding gets hammered in the winter by salt and sand.

Scott B, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Liverpool, NY

I received the paint touch up I ordered from you and all I can say is "Wow" ... I would never have imagined the color you sent could match so perfectly against my car which I might add is an older pontiac version in great shape but you know... the few little specks of paint loss that I wanted to restore... Thanks to you... I was happy with it. And when I used the clear coat on top.. It gave it that finishing shiny touch... I'm very please... SAB

Jerry W W, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Champaign, IL

Jeff K, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Millington, MI

A perfect match right out of the can it had all the filters and stir stick's included made it much nicer. I would use again.

Timothy B, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Apple Creek, OH

This was my 1st time at trying basecoat - clearcoat from a spray can, but aside of two out of 5 spray cans tips not spraying so well, I was impressed with the results. The paint was a perfect match, applied well, did not tend to sag, and very little overspray. Overall experience was excellent.

Gary H, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Lynchburg, VA

My wife loves her Pontiac Grand Prix. Both front and rear bumper were showing signs of nicks and 12 year old faded paint. But the body of the car's paint looked fine. I found the Automotive Touchup website with lots of How-to support and everything I needed from plastic repair Bondo, touch up paint for small spots, to primer, base color, and clear coat for both bumpers- all with one order. I had hopes of “refreshing” the car, but the paint matched so perfect, I expanded my work and touched up the entire car. Buffed and waxed it and it looks just like we drove it off the showroom floor. My cousin owns a garage and he was amazed at the paintshop results I was able to achieve with easy-to-use spray paint cans. Everyone asks how I did it- Automotive Touchup! And Great customer service and super-fast delivery!!!! Highly recommended!

Greg B, owner of a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix from Cincinnati, OH

As a novice when it comes to body repair, I decided to take on some rocker panel rust on my sons 2001 vehicle. I figured I couldn't do too much damage since, for the most part, what I was working with would not be visible, other than that portion that extends up the side of the car, meeting time bottom of the door. When I was finished, I couldn't believe I'd performed the work I was looking at. The paint match was perfect and the paint went on as if I was using a professional spray gun, no running at all. I'm a very pleased customer and will use AutomotiveTouchup paint and services in the future as the needs arise.
