To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2001 Pontiac (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. After a repair to the area surrounding the fuel door on my 2001 Bonneville, I was searching for touch up paint that might come close to matching the factory color. Keeping in mind that the car is 18 years old, I didn't have high hopes. Additionally, I planned to fade the paint without painting the entire quarter. After receiving the base coat and clear coat paint from Automotive Touchup, I applied the paint as directed as was very impressed with the color match.
