CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Bob B, owner of a 1998 Pontiac Trans Sport from Milan, MN

I used to paint and fix repairable cars and it was always hard to get paint to match. Since I tried your base-coat and clear coat I have fixed 5 cars and pickups with your products and I can't complain once about match or price I never thought I could get these results out of a spray can, but I have and will continue to do so. Thanks Bob Milan, MN

Joe Z, owner of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am from NY

I wouldn't have necessarily been surprised if this paint had been ordered for a later model year car. But the fact that it matched my son's 1999 Grand Am perfectly was incredible. Looking forward to the same results on my daughter's 2006 Honda Civic.

Ron R Thomas, owner of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am from Omaha, Ne

Just received my order from Automotive Touchup for my 1999 Pontiac Grand Am. The Color is Opal Blue Metallic, a 2oz bottle. I also ordered a bottle of clear coat as well. I was a little hesitant, since I hadn't used this firm before. I was impressed with the packaging that the touch up came in. After putting on the touch up in a test area, it matched the original color perfectly. When I apply the clear coat-it will be like the little chip that I wanted to fix- was never there. When I run out- I will reorder from this firm. Thank You, Ron R. Thomas Omaha Ne.
