To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Pontiac Sunfire, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. This will probably appear twice. This was the first time I used this company, and as with anything was cautious. I was matching paint for my 1999 opal blue Pontiac Grand Am, and thought well I give it a try. I received the 2 oz bottle of touchup and the 2 oz bottle of clear which I ordered, and tried the touchup on a small paint. IT MATCHED PERFECTLY!.
