CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Pontiac Bonneville, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Pontiac Bonneville is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Lyn L, owner of a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville from South Chicago Heights, IL

I am very pleased with the color. The auto is 17 years old and I wasn't too concerned about it. I just did not want to look at the clear coat coming off in spots and giving the car that white ring that is so common. But after painting it I am thrilled that it once again looks like it hasn't any serious flaws despite the weathered metal. So, good job. The paint matches. Thanks.

David W, owner of a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville from Pittsburgh, PA

I bought the touchup paint bottle like 4 years ago for my 98 bonneville and still use the bottle. Matches perfect and it doesn't dry up in the bottle like others or look like crap. I went back to buy some more for my 03 Impala. Highly recommend.

Greg, owner of a 1997 Pontiac Firebird from Overland Park, Kansas

I'm very happy with the results I got using the spray cans of touch up paint. I ended up using more than I planned, but that was my fault. I kept finding areas I wanted to fix. In retrospect, I probably should have bought a quart instead. My car is GM Artic White, and this paint came much closer to the factory color than their major competitor's. That being said, if you paint the part off the car, or have a hard line, you will see a difference. So I recommend painting the part on the car and blending into the original paint. If you blend it right, no one will notice. I'm glad I found this paint!
