CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Always satisfied!

Delighted Customer, owner of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix

Incredible paint matching. The spray can is about as pro as you can achieve without using a professional setup. Touch up or whole panel use! Very happy with the results!

B Red, owner of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix from Texas

Received my car back from Macco Paint Shop, what a "bush-league" paint shop. I used your spray paint to repair several places where Macco messed up the paint. The paint matched perfectly. In fact the places that I painted with your paint, looked better than the paint shops. I used the "Blending" technique as I saw on your video. After applying the clear coat, it looked great. 100% satisfied. You guys are "AWESOME". Thanks for a great product.

Alisa A S, owner of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix from Anacoco, LA

Paint matched great. Good packaging, no dented cans or cracked lids. Communication was fine and shipping was done quickly. Completed well below the price quoted from our body shop. Turned out better than I expected on a '97 pontiac, the parts I painted, (the plastic trim and tail spoiler), make the car look respectable again.
