CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Pontiac Grand Am, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Pontiac Grand Am is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Joseph M, owner of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am from San Antonio, TX

Paint was a perfect match and would definitely recommend you in the future.

Jeff O, owner of a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am from Toms River, NJ

Product was the best match I have ever tried. Sure it costs a little more and takes a little longer to get because it has to be mixed, but it was well worth the money and the Wait. U can't tell I painted after I buffed out the clear coat.

Ronald P, owner of a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix from Arcadia, IA

I bought a blue Daytona edition Grand Prix with dozens of little nicks and scratches. Repainting the entire car seemed a little extreme. Thanks to Automotive TouchUp, I was able to bring my paint job back to life! What an amazing match! It was perfect! Thank you for an awesome product!
