CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1973 Plymouth (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Plymouth paint code location diagrams and label examples. Most paint codes will be located either on the strut tower or on the firewall.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1973 Plymouth (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Shawn P, owner of a 1973 Plymouth from Henrico, VA

For the past 6 months I've been searching for an hb1 Plymouth paint for a hood scoop to match my factory paint.. I ended up doing it 3 different times with other paints that were not even close.. then I found out about automotivetouchup.com so I figured what the neck, I'll give it a try. I must say, I won't need to be sanding the scoop and redoing it again for it was pretty much a perfect match! Kudos and thanks for a great product. I'll be sure to order more in the future. Btw car is a 73 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus

Todd B, owner of a 1973 Plymouth from Lilly, PA

Good coverage. Might be a shade darker than factory color. Might need to be a little translucent. Otherwise looks good.

Erwin R, owner of a 1973 Plymouth from Westfield, NJ

I am a return customer and have never had any issues. Paint went on smooth and was an exact match to the original color.
