CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Nissan NT, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Nissan paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Nissan NT is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Sc S, owner of a 1998 Nissan from WI

The project went very well. The paint went on with excellent coverage (3 coats covered fender perfectly). Applied 3 coats of clear. Bolted fender back on car and away we went. The color was a little bit lighter, but the car is 17 years old! All in all we are extremely happy with the paint quality, directions and service!

Miguel G, owner of a 1998 Nissan Sentra from Lansing, MI

The base coat was exactly the same color and the clear coat was very shiny. The only problem I had was that the spray didn't come out evenly from the bottle. This makes it look like a powder coat unless you buff after the base coat. Over all this was a pretty cheap job that got my rusty buddy looking awesome. Very good color matching, not so good spray pattern.
