CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Mercury Villager, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for a Mercury paint code location diagram and label example.

Did you choose the wrong vehicle model?

Did you choose the wrong model? How about the 1998 Mercury Cougar, Grand Marquis, Marauder, Mariner, Mariner Hev, Milan, Montego, Monterey, Mountaineer, Mystique, Sable, Topaz, or Tracer?  If you're still not sure, take a look at our All 1998 Mercury Models page.  Or, just go to our page dedicated to Mercury Touch Up Paint

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Mercury Villager is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Kevin D, owner of a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer from Kenosha, WI

Paint is almost exact, looks fantastic with the clear coat.

PM, owner of a 1999 Mercury Villager from Ludington, MI

The paint was a perfect match. Even though the van is a 99. It was easy to feather it in. The can sprayer was a neat touch. It made spraying much easier. Using a good primer is a must. And lightly sanding after each coat. I used 3 coats of primer, then the base coat and then the clear coat.
