A friend and I have decided to "Detail" vehicles and purchased a 1997 Cougar to resell. The car is in pretty good shape, but, the doors and hood had some small chips that were noticeable and distracted from the whole beauty of the car. It is Brilliant White Pearl. We ordered the two oz. bottle of the pearl white, which automatically comes with a 2 oz. bottle of base coat. Everything worked as advertised. I had an estimate from body shop 500 dollars to repaint ft bumper on my 97 cougar "I ordered your basecoat clearcoat in spraycan but decided to order paint & clearcoat in pts started off with spraycan &_finished off with pt can it was perfect amount for my rather large pumper So Thanks to you people I saved $400 dollars can't wait to show bumper to body shop Maybe they'll deal with you in future. The products I ordered -- quite a long list -- were shipped quickly. The instructions were clear (and so were the videos I looked at), and all of the steps went smoothly. The color matches surprisingly well, especially considering that the car has been puttering around in the sun and weather for 16 years. I just have the clear coat left to do, but I don't foresee any problems there.
As an additional note, sometimes you can find out more about a company with how they handle challenges rather than the ordinary, day-to-day stuff. As mentioned, I ordered a long list of items -- I just counted, and there were 16 different products -- and as I was prepping for painting over the weekend, I realized the "Pre-taped Masking Film with Dispenser" was missing. I called on Saturday (when everyone was gone for the weekend), got a call back first thing Monday morning, and the film was shipped that day (yesterday). I was very impressed with the excellent customer service, and the person on the phone was very helpful.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
