CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2017 Mazda MX5 Miata, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb or on the firewall. Click here for Mazda paint code locations and a label example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2017 Mazda MX5 Miata is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Nice product. Easy to use and does the job.

Patrick R, owner of a 2017 Mazda MX5 Miata from Olive Branch, MS

Our 2017 Mazda Miata RF had picked a few good sized chips on the back bumper that a paint pen would not fix. The color of the car is Soul Red Crystal Metallic, which is an upgraded color. We purchased the adhesion promoter, the two step base coat and some clear. Following the suggestions on AutomotiveTouchup.com I pulled and prepped the bumper and then painted the damaged area. Once that was done I spray the whole bumper with clear. The color is a very good match and there are no more chips in our bumper. I've been purchasing paint from AutomotiveTouchup.com for several years now and have always been very happy with the quality of the paint and how well it matches the factory paint.

Jon F, owner of a 2017 Mazda MX5 Miata from NC

After creating three chip marks around my trunk I researched how to repair them. Seems like most people whom had tried touching up the Mazda Soul Red paint were not satisfied. I had used Automotive Touchup before on an new trunk hinge for a Passat and was extremely happy with the outcome, you could not tell the new hinge was not factory painted. Well, I was not let down this time either. After applying a couple of coats of the base coat, I was already liking the results. I was skeptical of the mid coat, it was thin and watery, but after a couple of applications, I can not distinguish between the original paint and the touch up. I am extremely happy with my results!
