My wife scraped a parking garage column on the rear right passenger door and fender--really deep gouges into the metal. As a protective coating, I used a lighter shade of silver/gray touch up from her previous car while waiting on the correct color. Once applied, the correct color helped conceal the damage. You can still see the scrapes from a distance, but at least the color is right.
I have a bottle of touch up for each of our three cars from Automotive Touchup, plus a bottle of clear. Perfect match for all three.

I love this company, I've bought touch up paint for two of my vehicles and the colors matched perfectly, the mica in the black for my Mazda and the Mica in the red for my Mitsubishi, I couldn't have asked for a more better quality paint. The red for my mitsubishi has been on, it has not chipped or faded and matches the car perfectly, the mazda is still fresh but I'm sure it's still excellent quality.

First of all I'd like to say that your representative "Skip" is a very knowledgeable, professional and courteous individual. I did not have much experience in knowing how to work with the mid-coat / pearl application or how to deal with overspray and he was very helpful. I did encounter one issue that I thought you might be interested in hearing about. I had two scratches/dents that were about 18" apart, one near midpoint of the door and one towards the bottom of the door. I chose to also paint in between the scratches to avoid overspray between them as opposed to painting each of them individually. Because of this I had to paint about 5 strokes back and forth between the scratches. I know to overlap the strokes a little to avoid streaks and of course this worked out great on the ground coat but as you might expect on the mid-coat, where I overlapped the strokes the outcome was darker. Result was light streaking. Each overlap was like an extra coat. This is my 16 year old granddaughter's Mazda and she of course didn't want the claim on her insurance and she certainly could not afford to have it professionally painted. I offered to paint it for her while visiting her in Tennessee over Christmas. She likes the paint job (& her grandpa). The streaks are hardly noticeably (except to me). So overall the job was a success. I have used Automotive touchup before. The results have always been excellent.
