Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1995 Mazda Miata is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Robin P, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Gray Court, SC

There is always a time you get a ding or two that you know is there, especially on an above average paint job. You know it's there and it will draw you to it every time you get around the car. Or someone says," Have you seen this"? So, you can't repaint it. I read about Automotive Touchup. Absolutely a dream come true. Color matched up perfectly. Easy to apply. Quality is exceptional. Would highly recommend and save yourself the worries and eyesores.

James D, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Prosper, TX

Had to fix a front quarter panel on my track day car (previous owner painted AROUND the car number decal...don't ask!). I had to blend the paint from the repair area to the rest of the panel. Honestly I didn't think it was going to come out as well as it did. I was pleasantly surprised at what a good job the OEM matched spray can paint and clear coat did! I have to say it looks like a professional job, not something that was done in my workshop, by ME no less! I highly recommend Automotive TouchUp products to anyone looking to DIY their car/truck. Next project: my F150 front bumper!

Eric W, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Walnut, CA

With a car over 25 years old, scratches and paint hips are inevitable. With the automotive touchup paint, it got the really noticeable spots of the car looking smooth and clean again all around.

Michael O, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Zebulon, GA

Great color match. Makes me look like a professional.

Kenneth W, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Rochester, NH

I have a 94 Mazda Miata M edition which came in Montego Blue Mica. The clear coat had lifted on the plastic nose. The paint I got from Automotive touch up in the spray can, base color and clearcoat was spot on! I will be purchasing more to redo the hood and make my Miata look like new. Thanks Automotive Touchup, keep up the good work. Kenny

James M, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from North Canton, OH

Had a fill/sand repair to a bumper cover. When filled and sanded, Automotive Touch-up matched the Mazda Red perfectly and the repair was complete with the application of a clear coat. Looks really great! I have used Automotive Touchup twice so far - both time with excellent results.

Travis C, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Tucson, AZ

The Miata Montego Blue (code M8) is gorgeous when new. I bought a 95 in 95 and just bought another one with tired paint. the worst was significant clearcoat delamination on trunk lid. Ordered paint and clearcoat spray cans, a respirator and rubbing compound. prep sanded with 400 grit dry then wet, prep solvent wipe down, dried and then used tack cloth. After clearcoat most of the paint job was orange peel. Waited two days, wet sanded with 1500 until flat, polished on low speed with compound and a wool pad, switched to foam pad and polished. Now the trunk looks brand new. Good paint, but instructional videos are too short and users should know that the probability of not having to wet sand and buff is slim to none. A good video and that prospect is a lot less daunting.

Bryan M, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Petaluma, CA

I couldn't be happier. I have a 20 year old Miata and the clear-coat on the hood and trunk looked bad. The spray I got from AutomotiveTouchup was a perfect match! I sprayed 2 coats of color and 2 coats of SprayMax High Gloss Clear Coat. It looks really good.

Bret A, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Roy, WA

This is my third purchase from Automotive Touch up, perfect match again, I have a Miata with a hard color to match (Merlot), and you guys came through again.

David B, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Newnan, GA

Paint match for my 95 Miata was perfect. This particular color looks different depending on the angle & Sun, the the touch up is perfect at any angle. Will use and recommend your products in the future. David from Atlanta

Leonard R, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Peabody, MA

Color matched my 1995 Miata exactly. This was my first time in quite a while doing body work and the results were fantastic. I followed up the basecoat/clearcoat with 1500 wet sanding and a buff with Griot's Garage compound and my project car fenders look great. I highly recommend Automotive Touchup.

Ken M, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Wesson, MS

1995 Mazda Miata "M Edition" Paint is "Merlot Mica" and is very hard to match. Sanded, primed, painted and then cleared the rear valance, bumper and driver side mirror. Clear-coat was almost gone in all these areas. Very satisfied with results. Paint was almost a perfect match. Best I have ever done using a rattle can.

Keith P, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Frisco, TX

Hi, I have a ‘95 Miata (originally red) that was custom painted Honda Aztec Green Metallic by the previous owner. They did a good job but did not paint under the hood/trunk. Then to make things worse the previous owner did some stupid things to “disguise” the red under each and made a huge mess. It took me a day to clean and prep the mess, but your touchup was almost spot on. If I had used white primer rather than light gray it would have been an exact match. For a car what was custom painted that says a lot for your product, I'm very pleased! I just uploaded some pics too.

Kristine, owner of a 1995 Mazda Miata from Lock Haven, PA

Bought some touch up paint and clear coat for my 1995 Laguna Blue Mazda Miata. There were a few places on front bumper and back bumper needing touched up. Match was perfect. Application was easy. My Miata was handed down to me by my mom so it's very special to me. It looks great! Thanks for your great products and great customer service.
