CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2000 Lotus (All Models), we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Lotus paint code location diagrams and label examples.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2000 Lotus (All Models) is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Jerry B, owner of a Lotus from Beaverton, OR

A few years ago I began rebuilding a fiberglass-bodied Lotus Europa. I did all my own body work and paint, using a modern pearlescent paint on the body. When I began installing the rear window, I discovered the paint below the roofline was a bit thin, but not bad enough that I wanted to go through all the fuss with buying more paint, mixing it, masking off the shop and using the compressor and gun to remedy the problem. I ordered a can of your aerosol paint and one of clear coat. I masked the area that I didn't want overspray on and hit the thin spots with a couple of coats, applied at about 30 minute intervals. The match is absolutely spot on perfect and filled in the thin area like it was never there. Thanks for a great product.

John C, owner of a 2005 Lotus from Birmingham, AL

I spoke with Anita in customer service several times, not only to resolve minor issues with my order but also for advice on your products and application. Each and every time she was courteous and friendly and provided truly outstanding customer service.

Lawrence Molloy, owner of a 2005 Lotus Lotus from New Canaan, CT

I purchased my car from a dealer who identified its color as “Canyon Red”. When I touched up the car using the “Canyon Red “ paint that I got from “Automotive Touchup”, it did not match. Since I had been happy with previous paint I had gotten from them, I was puzzled. I did some research and discovered that the car dealer misidentified the color of my car. It was actually “Bordeaux Red”. I reordered the new color and it matched perfectly. So because of “Automotive Touchup” I learned the the true color of my car and will continue to count on them in the future.
