To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. Hi....your product was fine. Base coat was a good color match. I did have a problem with clear coating. I covered part of my rear bumper with base coat, sprayed over the base coat with clear coat mix until it had a nice gloss. then when I sprayed a light coat of the hardener only with a separate spray gun to blend the edges of the clear coat in with the original finish, the original finish bubbled up. I have blended many times in the past with this technique and have never had a problem. Where did I go wrong with the blending? I have now sanded the bumper smooth and painted the complete bumper to avoid having to blend, and all is OK now.
