CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2005 Lexus IS, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. The code will have a C/TR in front of it. A typical code will look like C/TR: 1D4/FH13, and 1D4 would be the color code in this example. Click here for Lexus paint code location and paint code image sample.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2005 Lexus IS is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Thomas H, owner of a 2004 Lexus LX470 from Lower Gwynedd, PA

Painted my fender and hood on my driveway. Perfect color match and I was able to get a perfect shine match with the clearcoat (after lots of buffing)

Eve P, owner of a 2006 Lexus RX330 from Melbourne, FL

Was very pleased with your product. For less than $25 I was able to cover my scratches caused by someone parking next to me. The color was a perfect match, and if I can do it anyone can. Am over 80 years old!
