CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1986 Land Rover Freelander, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Click here for Land Rover paint code images and location chart.

Did you choose the wrong vehicle model?

Did you choose the wrong model? How about the 1986 Land Rover 45, 75, Defender, Discovery, or Range Rover?  If you're still not sure, take a look at our All 1986 Land Rover Models page.  Or, just go to our page dedicated to Land Rover Touch Up Paint

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1986 Land Rover Freelander is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Dylan G, owner of a 1987 Land Rover from Arlington, TX

The Paint is an exact match of Caspian blue for my 87 Range Rover classic the paint looks great and is why I will continue to use this company for any future paint work! 😎

Rodelio A, owner of a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover Sport from Los Angeles, CA

My 2006 Range Rover Sport had two areas on the roof where the paint had chipped-off in pancake-sized proportions. The rear wing spoiler on the roof had clear coat stripping and bubbling as well. The paint provided by AutomotiveTouchup MATCHED PERFECTLY! In fact, better than the body shop that had repainted an OEM rear bumper panel I had just installed. The key to making it indistinguishable is prepping the surface properly by cleaning, sanding, and masking. I was able to do these large areas fairly quickly by doing several thin coats of paint, and several thin coats of clearcoat. After sanding and very diluted rubbing compound, you absolutely CANNOT see where the oem paint job starts and the paint AutomotiveTouchup provided. With their paint and a good online tutorial on automotive paint touch-up, you will definitely save yourself hundreds (in my case, thousands) of dollars.
