I have no experience doing body work, but a friend from church scraped a wall with her old car, and had no money to repaint the fender. The dark gray car looked horrible with white paint on the fender well. I was able to remove most of the paint, wet sand the area and your paint was a perfect match. The clear coat sealed the deal and she is over the moon.
