To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2004 Hummer H3, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. I am certainly no car painter but the instructions were great. I repaired the front wing (Complete left side of the hood) on my Hummer H2 and then covered it in grey primer. I prepared the surface as stated on the Automotive Touch up cans and then lightly sprayed (Dusted) 4 coats of paint over the entire wing. Then 4 coats of the clearcoat exactly as directed on the cans. Just unbelievable.. Fantastic.. It was not only a 100% perfect color match to the metallic green (Gold Spect) manufacturers color but it blended perfectly. Our local Hummer dealer said in needed a new hood at almost 2 grand and then it would need painting to suit. Another $700. It now looks absolutely perfect again and all it cost was 3 cans of paint and an afternoon. I am totally satisfied.. Thank you guys
