Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1992 Honda Element Ex is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Bruce M, owner of a 1993 Honda Accord from Poughkeepsie, NY

I could not get matching paint at my local auto supply, so I picked closest color in acrylic lacquer and painted half of the car. The match was not good so I decided to try the internet. Your custom mix of urethane for my 93 Honda was great! I prefer the urethane finish vs the lacquer and the color match was very good. I also used the urethane clear coat with the bizarre double valve and hazard warnings all over the can - a little more detail on use of the double valve would be appreciated! If you can find space on the label. Isn't this basically the same chemical substance as the urethane color coat? The color coat can is not splattered with hazard warnings as is the clear coat. Anyway I survived the paint job and I'm pleased with the results. (I did wear 3M vapor facemask to apply all coats of paint)

William N, owner of a 1993 Honda Accord from Virginia Beach, VA

I thought the service great and I am impressed with the product. I ordered my paint in a spray can, which for the job I need is very convenient. I did have some trouble though. Keep in mind I am trying to match paint on a garage kept car that is 21 years old, so I expected some problems. I am still trying to come up with a solution to using this paint which straight out of the can is a little too dark. But I have found my vehicle has a white primer. So now my game plan is to spray the damaged areas with a white primer, (after proper preparation), and then apply several thin coats until I get the shade needed. It would be nice if I could make my repairs to areas with natural borders, but that doesn't seem practical. I use to make my living fixing fiberglass boats and matching gel coat, so I still have several tricks up my sleeve! We'll see how it goes. I did make a call to AutomotiveTouchUp and the gentleman I talked to was very concerned about my situation and did everything he could to help me. I will most certainly use their service again!
