CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1998 Gmc SC2, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1998 Gmc SC2 is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Mike M, owner of a 1998 GMC Sierra from Morgan Hill, CA

Automotive touch up did a great job mixing the pewter color for my 1998 gmc truck. Thanks

Lotfi B, owner of a 1998 GMC Suburban from Selma, AL

I had a large scraping on the rear door measured approximately 12 x 16 inches. I used the spray "base coat" paint, it worked great, the color match was superb even though the SUV is 17 years old. I still need to use a clear coat to give it a better glossy shine, but for the moment I am very happy with the result. Repairing this at a body shop would have cost more than the value of the vehicle.
