CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2008 Ford Laser, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2008 Ford Laser is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Thomas P, owner of a 2007 Ford F250 from Abington, MA

I got two scratches on the truck while plowing during the tough winter we this year in the Boston suburbs. The color of the truck is difficult to match in that it is dark green which can actually look black in the sun. The color match of the touch up was great. The primer, paint and clearcoat applied smoothly and dried to a perfect match. Thanks for the great product. Tom Phair, Abington, MA

Kevin K, owner of a 2007 Ford from Pueblo, CO

Color coat spray can started an inconsistent spray pattern or "spitting" part way through application. Not severe but enough to cause some small spots of a slightly darker shade on the painted surface. Switched spray nozzles with another can and solved the problem. Color match was good. [ATU Note: Paint drying on the spray tip can cause splattering, wiping the tip clean can also repair this issue. We also will mail some tips out to existing customers who experience problems like this.]
