CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2006 Ford Freestyle, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2006 Ford Freestyle is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Marty M, owner of a 2007 Ford Freestyle from Marana, AZ

I used the primer, matched color and clear coat. It was the brush in bottle type. Everything matched well. My technique may not have given the best look to my project, but that doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the product. I am very pleased by the products result.

Harold K, owner of a 2007 Ford Econoline from FL

I had a small rust bubble that was bugging me for a couple of years--too small to take to a shop, but still worrisome--rust never sleeps. I had resolved to deal with it at some point, but never had the time. But finally I did, and these Automotive Touch-up products worked perfectly for what I needed. Mine was a minor repair, and pretty easily completed. I used a rust binding product to make sure whatever was left after I sanded the spot was neutralized, then filled it with bondo; sprayed several light coats of AT primer, let it dry over night and applied several light coats of the top coat color. Amazing paint materials--perfect color match, and really good delivery device--I'm talking about the spray can. Not at all like a can of spray paint from the hardware store. Puts a wide even layer down, very easy to do. Successive light coats are the key I think, if you are not a trained painter. These products will make you look like a hero. My highest recommendation for these products--if you're hesitating for any reason, just pull the trigger and do it. Fight entropy and the degradation of Western civilization--fix your rust bucket!
