CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2005 Ford Adrenalin, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2005 Ford Adrenalin is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

So far a great product. I do not think the color match could have been ANY better. The spray cans worked flawlessly, putting down a pattern that seemed to be able to prevent runs in the paint, especially if you just follow the directions. I am not an auto-paint expert, however, having used a lot of different spray paints in my lifetime, I will have to judge this paint to be of a high quality by how it applied, dried, and looked. I would definitely recommend the use of some kind of respirator for organic compounds when applying. $20 is well spent to save your lungs and brain cells. Additionally, I would recommend you get twice the amount of clear-coat of the amount of base-coat. And, lastly order well ahead of time for your colors. The website explains that it can take a few days to get the mix of the paint you order.

Color matches are great! No issues with applying as long as it’s HVLP the 20oz spray cans however I’ve had issues with cans leaking. I had one this week leave down the side of a truck when I sprayed. Paint a lover the can and truck. I don’t like using spray cans but they are great for small quick touch ups. Love using automotive touch up and will continue. With paint needing to be sprayed HVLP.
