CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Ford Festiva, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code can be located in the driver side door jamb. Click here for the Ford paint code location chart and paint code image example.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Ford Festiva is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

William V, owner of a 1998 Ford Expedition from Wilton, CT

I am pleased. I did not expect a perfect match because the car is 18 years old. However it is not noticed by the casual observer.

Al, owner of a 1998 Ford Econoline from NJ

I needed to repair some large rust spots on the roof channels of my 18 year-old Ford Club Wagon. I am hoping to get another 5-10 years use out of it as mechanically it is in good condition. I found Automotive Touchup on the Internet, after purchasing another brand of rust converter and etching primer. I followed the directions for all four products, and the result is very good, so far. The Ford color was an exact match, right down to the metallic flecks. The clear coat is, of course, clear but leaves a good finish. The real proof will be how well the repair holds up, which is also dependent on my prep work. Overall, I would recommend these products. The spray can worked fine, though the nozzle had a somewhat broader spray pattern than I expected.
