CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Dodge Ram Truck, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. 2007 and newer Dodge models usually have the paint code in the door jamb. Most paint codes are three digits long and start with a P or Q and contains letters and/or numbers. Click here for more Dodge paint code locations and paint code images.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Dodge Ram Truck is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Richard P, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Mantua, OH

The touchup paint matched perfectly for a 21 yr old truck. I wasn't sure how this going come out but for a spray can job both basecoat and clearcoat it's fantastic. This wasn't just a touchup I completely painted both front fenders and a large panel on the cab. Will use these products again. ………………………………………………………………………………….. Richard p

Emmett, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Round Rock, TX

I ordered paint in the aerosol cans and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the paint. It was a perfect match and very easy to use the aerosol cans with no runs. Just follow the directions on the can and you will be pleased with the outcome. Thank you for making this an easy repair, Emmett

Brian H, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Stewartstown, PA

The Paint that I got for my Ram PW6 and the clear coat matched spot on. My Ram was repainted a few years ago and they didn't use the factory paint that is normal for the Ram Trucks. I think that is pw7 not sure how much different the 2 are. I had another shop test the paint color for me and the PW6 was the match. It dried with no issues. I had to do this outside in cooler temps and higher humidity than I would have liked but gotta do what ya gotta do. Your product in bad conditions worked fine. I still have to work with my Lexus and the black paint but I'm waiting on better weather conditions before I do that.

Richard L, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Hatboro, PA

Nice stuff, worked great and good price.

James H, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Indian Springs, NV

Totally satisfied perfect match even when I showed where I sprayed nobody could tell. I am ordering more for 97 Dodge 2500 Ram.

Dave Bernier, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Surprise, Az

I have a 1995 Oldsmobile. The paint on the trunk started peeling, so I ordered your paint to take care of the job. I thought it would be hard to match paint on a 20 year old car, but it matched perfectly. The neighbor came across the street & wanted to know if I had ever worked in a body shop. Believe me when I say that I am truly amazed. I only wish I had taken pictures. Thank you Dave Bernier

Marla P, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Bethlehem, PA

The paint was to match the base coat and stripes on my 1997 ram SS/T, I built a golf cart and wanted to match the color which was perfect. Everything worked great. Thanks, Marla

Bill M, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from West Monroe, LA

I ordered paint code DT9306, Bright Jade for my Dodge Truck. I had scratches on the fenders and hood where I went threw woods deer hunting. I fixed these places myself with your paint, some sanding, and primer. You can't tell where I did the repairs, the color matched perfectly. I am totally satisfied with your product and would recommend it to anyone who needs to repair scratches or nicks. Thanks for a great product.

Larry S, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Saint Augustine, FL

Great product. Almost perfect match, old paint some color fade. Thanks. Larry Spencer.

Raymond R, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Olney Springs, CO

Color matches perfectly and ease of application and optional supplies to complete were great.

Jim, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Frankfort In

I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup, the paint on the top of the truck was chipping off, I sanded it down to bare metal primed and painted with aerosol cans, 3 coats of base color and 3 coats of gloss clear coat, it is beautiful, both the color and the finish are perfect, I am so impressed with these products and plan on ordering more for some other areas of the truck that need to be fixed. I'm sure I have got you some more customers. THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT PRODUCTS!!! Jim Frankfort In.

Herb S, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Freeport, IL

The paint for my 1997 Dodge Ram was a perfect match. I ordered paint from other sites, but they did not match. I would definitely order from your company again. Herb Shorter

Jim W, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Grand Junction, CO

I have a 1997 Dodge Pickup. Two years ago I had the hood & cab top redone to the tune of $800.00. The last year or so the railing has been chipping away. I needed to have something done. I don't remember where I heard about Automotive Touchup but I got on the computer & got into their site. I ordered the 2oz. bottles to the tune of $51.00. It's more than I needed but I'm going to hold off a paint job for a long time. I'm sort of a slob & I thought this is a mistake, it's not looking good. Anyway I continued on & when I applied the clearcoat things changed. It's very good, the color is a perfect match & really looks great. I'm very satisfied with the results. Would I do it again, you bet yah. Jim w.

Mark Vital, owner of a 1997 Dodge Ram Truck from Mountain Top, Pa

The paint that I ordered was a perfect match. When I painted my hood then clearcoated with their clearcoat you would swear it was done professionally.
