CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 1997 Daihatsu Valera, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. Most Daihatsu paint codes are located on the center or passenger side of the firewall. Click here for a Daihatsu paint code location chart.

Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 1997 Daihatsu Valera is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

Here's what our customers are saying about our Touch Up Paint:

Doug T, owner of a scratch-free car from Lubbock, Texas

This is overdue. Back about 9-10 years ago, ordered a kit for our metallic silver 1998 Volvo S70 (it's sold and gone now, don't remember the Volvo Color Number). Last year, ordered the metallic grey K11 color for our 2005 Nissan Altima. Had to paint parts on both - spoiler, front air dam and rear bumper skirt on the Volvo, new door handles on the Nissan. BOTH COLORS WERE RIGHT ON THE MONEY. Got lots of compliments on both of them. Not only that - had small leftover cans of both the Volvo silver and clearcoat (9-10 years old, been in the storage shed outside since then). Thought I'd see if they still worked, since the Nissan wheel covers were pretty much the same color - the old cans worked like they were brand new! Ended up using up all the old Volvo silver AND the clearcoat on the Nissan wheel covers and now THEY look sharp. Matched the Nissan wheel cover color exactly. Glad I didn't throw them away. GOOD PRODUCT and (if I remember), pretty darn quick shipping. I'm not surprised you've been in business this long. My opinion and a buck twenty-nine get you a cup of coffee at 7-11, but as far as I'm concerned, THANKS, AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I'll continue as a repeat customer. Thanks again.

As Always, the paint code matched our 2009 motorhome perfectly
