To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. I took my car to a body shop and he said the door would have to be replaced and saw the rust on the under panel on the other side and did not want the job. I didn't think it was that big a deal and did not want the rust to continue. I knocked off the rust as best I could and used Bondo to patch (again as best I could) but the real pleasing part of the project was applying the automotive touchup paint. The match was unbelievable.
