To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2007 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. I ordered base coat and clear coat along with the can mounted spray handle, sand paper, and tape with plastic sheeting. It made taping off and painting easy and the results were good. The color match was very close. The original paint was faded some but I am happy with the results especially considering my cost to do it. I was able to do the paint work for about 1/4 the cost of a local shop. The final product is not as good (due to my workmanship) but.....good enough. I would use this approach again if needed.
