CLEAR COAT IS REQUIRED WITH THIS PAINT

To ensure your paint repair blends in perfectly, you'll need to apply a clear coat over the color coat. While AutomotiveTouchup paint products are custom mixed to perfectly match the color of your 2006 Chevrolet Bolt, we use the same basecoat/clearcoat system as your factory specs. You can add a clear coat to your order on the next step. The color code will be located on a sticker named Parts Identification. The code can start with BC/CC followed by a U, or a WA with a four digit number/letter combination. We use the WA format for simplicity, your code may have a U. WA8555 is the same as U8555. Why The Two-Step Paint System?

Your 2006 Chevrolet Bolt is painted at the factory with a high quality basecoat/clearcoat system. This two-step paint system consists of step one, the basecoat, which is your car’s actual color, and step two, the clearcoat, the specially formulated clear paint that protects the base color and provides the luster and deep shine your vehicle came with when new. AutomotiveTouchup products faithfully reproduce your vehicle manufacturer’s basecoat/clearcoat system.

I have used Automotive Touchup previously for touch up paint for my primary vehicles. I love the ease of finding, ordering, and receiving the correct and quality paint and materials. I will continue to use them for their paint matching quality and ease of use. Thank you

Richard S, owner of a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu from Chula Vista, CA

This was my first use of a spray can repair although I did auto body rebuilding and painting in the past. I bought primer, base coat and clear coat aerosol cans to repair a surface rust area about 2x4" where paint was chipped. Directions on preparation and wait time were clear and easy to follow. Spray was a nice fan with even coverage. The base coat paint match, a metallic gray, was right on. Clear coat blended well with the existing paint and I'm debating whether to rub it out or just leave it since the slight over-spray is almost undetectable and with road dust, probably won't show. This was an excellent outcome of both color and clear.
